Watkins Glen Gorge is a fascinating place. The amount of care taken to preserve the gorge is incredible. In the 1930's, workers from the Civil Conservation Corps painstakingly built pathways and walls from rock. In most areas, it was difficult to tell their work from that of Mother Nature.
